  • Proficiency with task management programs (such as Streak and Asana), along with communication programs such as Slack.

  • Typing ability of at least 50 WPM with accuracy.

  • Social media experience is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree or above

  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of administrative experience.

Fine Print

Our Virtual Assistants (VAs) specialize in supporting executives and entrepreneurs alike. We are currently accepting applications from anywhere in the continental United States. Please note, this is a commission-based, 1099 contractor role and all applicants may be subject to a background check prior to a contract offer. Additionally, Rivvly participates in E-Verify.


This position requires the VA to serve in a remote capacity as the client’s representative, which demands poise, discretion, confidentiality, and exceptional people skills. Additionally, the VA must have the ability to virtually interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure. Remaining flexible, proactive, servant-minded, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, is crucial to this role.


The expectations of Rivvly and their clients include developing a working knowledge of that client’s duties, habits, and preferences in order to maximize the relationship and the client’s effectiveness to lead.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the client with their personal and business calendars by scheduling appointments and coordinating appointments as necessary.

  • Respond to client emails and tasks as received, acknowledging all tasks within the established acceptable response time; respond to all Rivvly communication within a timely manner.

  • Ensure that all the tasks assigned by the client are within the VA scope.

  • Manage the client’s email inbox, responding to emails as necessary based on specific guidelines provided by the client.

  • Conduct research as per client request - this can include research on events, travel, projects, etc. Provide research results to the client within the established timeframe.

  • Complete any purchases as assigned by the client, ensuring specifications of the purchase meet the client’s satisfaction.

  • Execute travel arrangements on behalf of the client - including researching and booking flights, ensuring that all travel reservations meet the requirements as set forth by the client.

  • Receive and make telephone calls on behalf of the client as required.

  • Complete administrative tasks as required by the client - including but not limited to: transcription, business correspondence, and data entry.

  • Complete and submit weekly reports as required, ensuring billed time is accurately tracked.

  • Light travel for events, all travel expenses will be included

  • Other duties as assigned.



Working Environment:

This job operates remotely. This role requires the use of standard home office equipment such as computers, phones, web camera, and headphones. None of the above-mentioned equipment is provided by Rivvly.

Candidates who successfully complete our hiring process are confident they’re in the right role and ready to hit the ground running.

Step 1 – Tell us About Yourself
In addition to submitting your resume and LinkedIn URL, you’ll fill out an application-style questionnaire that highlights your experience and provides an opportunity to share your interests, qualifications, and examples of previous work. We’ve also included questions to get an understanding of your work style, approach to problem-solving, and familiarity with certain tech tools. Your answers save both of us time by ensuring we’re on the same page before moving forward.
Step 2 – Complete Sample Tasks
We’ve put together sample tasks for you to complete. They will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete and will be indicative of projects you’d do if you were to join our team.

Step 3 – Connect With the Team
Once tasking is completed and reviewed, we’ll set up two video calls. We’ll ask you to weigh in on a few topics and projects that are relevant to the role, and you’ll have the chance to ask us questions. 

Step 4 – Training
If you advance past the team interviews, you’ll spend a week training to become familiar with our policies, procedures, systems, and best practices. This allows us to gauge the quality of your work, your ability to meet deadlines, and overall cultural fit. And it gives you a sense of how our team communicates in the day-to-day virtual world.

Step 5 – Onboarding
If you reach this step, congrats are in order—you’re officially a member of the Rivvly team! You’ll enter the onboarding process with a working knowledge of Rivvly and be ready to hit the ground running!
